We are looking at the condition of our community, our role in it,and theposition taken
by many followers of Christ and how their example should be a positive influence on our
lives as believers today.
Part 6 ~ Homosexuality is advancing in all areas
As a statistic, approximately 3.4 percent of the world’s population residing in the United
States, identify themselves with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender
community. (The LGBT as they have come to be known). And this group is responsible for
making their position known. And whether you agree with them or not, they have the
right under the laws of this nation to adopt whatever form of sexual identity they desire.
Some are saying everyone has the right to be and to adopt whatever lifestyle suits them.
Well, that’s right. But 3.4 percent of our population is a long way from a majority,
regardless of who is supporting their program. Some in the 3.4 percent say they were
born homosexual and there should be no restrictions on their way of life. They say, as if
blaming God, that He made them the way they are and those who don’t accept that as
fact are the problem. Well, claiming God as the source of any iniquity is wrong.
Think about this for a moment. They “received in themselves the due penalty for their
perversion.” Not God’s error. Theirs. And ours, if we stand by and allow this type of
perversion to commandeer what we know to be God’s way for a righteous and holy
relationshipbetweena man and a woman within the sanctity of marriage. Their
argument falls apart at the natural level. Remember, it was Adam who “knew” Eve. This
is God’s example and any effort to take it in another direction is why we, born again
believers, must openly declare our position. At home, at work, at school, in the market
place, or wherever we find ourselves exposed to the wrongness associated with a deviant
Can an individual be homosexual from the womb? Can an individual be “predisposed” to
homosexuality? Is it a DNA thing. A chromosome thing? Or what? We all know it’s a
SIN THING ! We know what God says. What do you say? When do you say it? Better
yet, where do you say it?
It is easy to see where someone believing they are homosexual can simply say God made
me this way. That doesn’t make it true. What is true is that God has nothing to do with
evil, except to judgeit for what it is. We onthe other hand, ascreated beings have the
ability to choose. And this is where it gets a bit tough for all of us. How can anyone
claiming to be homosexual know the truth unless someone tells them? Who will tell
