Thoughts From The Book Of Galatians By Evangelist Sam Biggers

Some thoughts from my study Bible as I begin to read Galatians.  These moved me to better understand freedom in Jesus so I share them with you this morning.  Hopefully they will encourage you as you begin another day.  Yes, I am very thankful I was born and live in the USA; yet I am most thankful that God can set anyone free from anything and everything that would bind the human soul and spirit by the gift of grace through Jesus Christ.

As the sun breaks the eastern sky, my prayer for you this morning is that this day you will be blessed by God to enjoy physical freedom, emotional freedom and most of all, spiritual freedom.  Enjoy these thoughts from the comments of the publisher introducing the Book of Galatians which is all about freedom.  Paul, the author of Galatians, once stood in opposition to the early church believers, wrote liberating words of encouragement to all who will believe and trust in Christ.  Here are the thoughts of the publisher:

A family, executing their carefully planned escape at midnight, dashing for the border…a man, standing outside prison walls, gulping fresh air, awash in the new sun…a young woman with every trace of the ravaging drug gone from her system…they are FREE!  With fresh anticipation, they can begin life anew.

Whether fleeing oppression, stepping out of prison, or breaking a strangling habit, freedom brings life.  There is nothing so exhilarating as knowing that the past is forgotten and now new options await.  People yearn to be free.

Aren’t you glad God loves everyone and desires a daily relationship with Him.

Here are some added thoughts from a devotional I read this morning:

Four Things You Can’t Recover In Life:

1. A word after it is spoken.

2. An opportunity after it is missed.

3. Time after it is gone.

4. Trust after it is lost.

Isaiah 54:10 “For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain.  My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

God is faithful and will set anyone and everyone free – emotionally and spiritually if trust is placed in Him!  Have a very blessed day!
