Busy, hectic, frantic, overwhelmed, pressured, burned-out; just a few words used to describe the condition of the majority of people in this fast paced world today. Very few are immune. My life during the past two years has been pressure packed and trouble filled. My duties and responsibilities at times seem overwhelming and my schedule is overfilled. But I don’t want a vacation, I don’t want to quit, I don’t want sympathy, I don’t want money, I don’t want recognition, I don’t want to escape, I don’t even want a miracle!
Just give me Jesus. PLEASE!
Around 2000, these words were spoken by Anne Graham Lotz, second daughter of Billy and Ruth Graham, in discussing her new book, ‘Just Give Me Jesus’.
Unfortunately, the world’s pace has probably increased, but the presence and power of Jesus Christ is still the same—AVAILABLE!
We are still desperate as ever for the simplicity, purity, freedom and the fulfillment offered with “living a life” in His name. Those that have yet to accept the “living water” and the “bread of life” offered by God through Jesus Christ, will continue to search in ‘vain’ for what is missing in their life—a personal relationship with God.
Never forget that no matter how crazy, busy, or bad your life is, God has the answer. You cannot bring a burden too heavy for God to lift, a problem too hard for Him to solve, or a request too big for him to answer.
God does the impossible every day.
